I’ve been seeing a lot of recipes featuring hot honey glaze on social media lately… and for good reason! It’s freakin’ PHENOMENAL, and our team is obsessed. The flavors are just so good. But add in some chili crisp? Well, that’s a game-changer.

 To make these irresistible honey chili crisp grilled chicken wings, prep your wings and sauce. Then cook over the grill and toss ’em with the magical sauce. So simple, yet so delicious!

Honey Chili Crisp Grilled Chicken Wings – What You Need

  • Unsalted butter: We used butter instead of olive oil because it adds a rich and creamy texture to the sauce.
  • Chili crisp: A chili oil condiment with crispy chili flakes and spices. We used the Momofuku brand, but you can use any chili crisp or chili sauce of your choice.
  • Honey: Honey adds a delightful sweet flavor and also balances out the spicy chili crisp.
  • Soy sauce: Gives the sauce a nice savory umami flavor.
  • Apple cider vinegar: A dash of acidity really adds a depth of flavor to the honey-chili wings.
  • Chicken wings: Any type of chicken wings will work for this recipe. Just make sure they are fully cooked before adding the sauce.

Substitutions & Variations

If you are using a charcoal grill, make sure the charcoal is mostly gray ash and has a bright orange glow before you place the wings on the grilling grate.

When taking the temperature of the wings, insert the thermometer into the thickest part, being sure not to touch any bones. 

To make this sauce less spicy, add 1-2 more tablespoons of honey. Taste test as you go!

How to Store
