Rumer Willis Claps Back at Trolls Who Shamed Her for Talking Pleasure

First, Rumer Willis was shamed for breastfeeding her daughter Louetta, and now, she’s being shamed for talking about sex toys on her Instagram profile.

You mean to tell us a woman, and mother, was proudly discussing female pleasure? That’s amazing, and yet, trolls tried to rain on her parade, because of course they did.

In case you missed it, on Aug 8, Willis shared a picture of herself holding a sex toy from the brand Bellesa Boutique, and used the post to talk all about the importance of female pleasure, saying, “In a world where women’s pleasure is often overlooked, taking time for solo practice is a powerful act of self-love and discovery, which is why I’m hooking you all up with toys for international female o day!”

It was a great post, and a great reminder for people, and moms, to take care of themselves. However, trolls commented things like “Omg seriously . Young kids see this 🙈🙈🙈” and “This information is best left private. Too much.”

But Willis clapped back in an Instagram Stories video via EOnline.

“What I think is really interesting, that I wanted to bring up, is that a lot of the comments I was seeing were, ‘Oh my God, you’re a mother,’” she said on Aug 8. “‘Don’t be showing such intimate moments. First, you’re breastfeeding, and now this.’”

She added, “We’re in a culture where it’s so frowned upon to feed our children in public, or to talk about female pleasure, talk about female sexuality. Just the idea of even posting about something or having some sort of casual off-the-cuff conversation about it—the reaction is visceral from people. I think it’s really important to have these conversations, to be able to remove some of the shame around it.”

“As someone who now has a daughter, the idea of putting any sort of shame or making her sexual self-discovery—putting any taboo around that—I think is despicable,” she ended the post by saying so. “I want Lou to be able to love her body, to be able to share it or not share it with whoever she wants.”

Perfectly said, and boo to those trolls!
